frequently asked questions

Common Questions

How much does it cost to bowl at Star Lanes Polaris?

Lanes are $45 to $70 per hour, depending on the day and time, with up to 8 guests per lane! Allow about 10 minutes per person, per game. A group of 6 should plan for at least an hour. Shoe rentals are $4 per person. Make it a Manic Monday and enjoy ½ off bowling and shoe rentals all day! Excludes December 7 and 14 for 2026. Reservations can be made here.

Do I need to make a reservation at this Columbus bowling alley?

While walk-ins are welcome, reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends and evenings. Booking online in advance ensures your lane is ready when you arrive.

Does Star Lanes Polaris have bumper bowling for kids?

Yes, they offer automatic bumpers for children. These can be programmed to deploy specifically for younger players while staying down for adults on the same lane.

What is HyperBowling, and how is it different?

HyperBowling is a high-tech version of the game that uses LED-lit bumpers as targets. Instead of avoiding the gutters, you aim to hit the lights to multiply your score, making it feel like a mix of bowling and pinball.

How many people fit in one bowling lane?

A maximum of 8 guests can be assigned to a single lane. For larger groups, booking multiple side-by-side lanes is the best way to keep the party together.

"I can not believe I had not checked this place out before. I came for an event expecting it to be a regular bowling place. This place has so much fun packed in. We got to see the amazing private lounge that has a seperate dining room, private lanes (with beautiful modern seating) bar, pool tables, darts, on site food spread and signature drinks. And the main room has all that plus A XD theater ride, Virtual realty games and a pretty great selection of arcade games plus extra birthday rooms. This place would be great for so many types of events and who doesnt love some good old fashion bowling. Highly recommend!"

– Jessica G.

"The event went great! The food was really good! That was one of the overwhelming comments I received. Bowling was fun, the ambiance and lighting really made it feel like an event and not just a day at an alley. The service was fantastic and attentive! Both ladies that helped us were outstanding! Thank you for having us and putting on a great show!"
